Matthew 1
Matthew 1:1-16 Booooooooring! 1 Tim 1:4 says: "nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies..." Titus 3:9 says: "But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies..." Can someone pay some attention to other parts of the bible and follow them?
Matthew 1:3 "Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar" Judah was weird. I thought Tamar was his daughter-in-law (Genesis 38:6 "Judah got a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar."). I also take it it was more then 10 generations since this Judah/Tamar forbidden marriage so Jesus could enter the assenbly of the Lord (Deuteronomy 23:2 "No one born of a forbidden marriage nor any of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, even down to the tenth generation.")
Matthew 1:6-16 Lists 28 generations from David to Jesus, Luke 3:23-31 lists 43.
Things in bold match, blue is misplaced (different order) and red is just plain old different.

If reader wants further confusion, he or she can read 1 Chronicles 3 to see if Uzziah was really the father of Jotham .
Matthew 1:11 "and Josiah the father of Jeconiah" are we sure about that? (1 Chronicles 3:15-16 say that Joshiah had Johanan, Jehoiakim, Zedekiah and Shallum and Jehoiakim had a son named Jehoiachin.)
Matthew 1:12 "...Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel," (1 Chronicles 3:17-18 The descendants of Jehoiachin the captive: Shealtiel his son, Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah." claims Jehoachin had several sons, while you can read in Jeremiah 22:28-30 "... Record this man [Jehoachin] as if childless ..."
Are we sure that Shealtiel was the father of Zerubbabel? (1 Chronicles 3:19 "The sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel and Shime..."
Matthew 1:16 "and Jacob the father of Joseph..." Hm... Luke 3:23 "... of Joseph, the son of Heli," claims something else.
Matthew 1:17 was there really 14 generations from David to Babylonian captivity? 1 Chronicles 3:9-15 says there were 18 generations.
Matthew 1:18 "...but before they came together..." So can someone tell me what is the point of this tiresome genealogy if it is false altogether? So why claim Joseph is the father of Jesus when it supposed to be Holy Spirit?
Matthew 1:19 "Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man..." is there ever a righteous man? Ecclesiastes 7:20: "There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins."
Matthew 1:22-23: "All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us." Hey?!? I thought Jesus was called Jesus, what is this with Immanuel now?
Matthew 1:25: "But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son." So Marry was only virgin until she gave birth to Jesus, but then Joseph and Marry had an "union"?
